As an authorized reseller of JDA warehouse management system (WMS), warehouse labor management (WLM) and transportation management system (TMS) software, consulting company Open Sky Group (Booth S3573) has perfected an agile implementation methodology that shortens the installation cycle to six months or less.

Geared toward mid-market companies in the $350 million to $1 billion range, the company offers upgrades, implementation, integration, enhancements, consulting, hosting and support, said Chad Kramlich, SVP of client services in a press conference on Tuesday.

“While a typical WMS implementation can take up to a year (or more), we’ve implemented a cyclical development process where we build, develop, verify and implement multiple pieces simultaneously,” he said. “This streamlines the process and shortens the install timeframe, cutting both the time and expense typically associated with a WMS implementation.”

Contributing to the shortened timeframe, Open Sky takes a “no software modifications” approach to its implementations, working instead with companies to apply new thinking around existing processes for greater efficiency. In the Open Sky booth, attendees can take a tour of the latest version of JDA WMS, and its new, easier to navigate, Web-based interface.
