RoadOne IntermodaLogistics acquires EHS LogisticSolutions

In a move geared towards expanding its national footprint, Randolph, Mass.-based RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, a provider of intermodal, distribution, and logistics services, said earlier this week it has acquired Brownstown Township, Michigan-based EHS Trucking and EHS Truck & Trailer.

Financial terms of the transaction were not made available. RoadOne officials said that EHS Trucking and EHS Truck & Trailer will be renamed as EHS LogisticSolutions. And the company said that Ed Worley, President & Founder of EHS Trucking Enterprises, LLC., will serve as an advisor to EHS LogisticSolutions, and Mike Lemere serve as Senior Vice President and the daily operations of the EHS LogisticSolutions.

Located outside of Detroit, EHS is a full-service provider of dedicated trucking services, with several large automotive shipper customers, including Ford, GM and Stellantis, and serves the Midwest region in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. RoadOne said that EHS will provide deeper penetration of the U.S. automotive manufacturing sector for the company, adding that EHS has more than 1,000 trailers, which it said will aid in expanding RoadOne’s dedicated services and to assist with distribution and manufacturing support.

And EHS Truck & Trailer services services all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty diesel engine vehicles, and also provides ongoing and proactive maintenance and repair of EHS’s equipment and owner-operator trucks, said RoadOne.

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics CEO Ken Kellaway toldLMthat this deal was more than nine months in the making, explaining that RoadOne like EHS’s strong leadership, tier 1 customer base, and its great driver and operating team.

“这还允许我们提供汽车铜stomers with an end-to-end solution, including intermodal drayage as well as regional dedicated truckload solutions,” said Kellaway. “This provides us with over 230 more drivers in the Midwest market and over 1000 trailers to service our customers. It also further expands our dedicated truckload fleet operations which we believe is the long-term solution to driver capacity challenges. We are designing custom dedicated solutions for our clients’ delivery needs and EHS has built a very strong platform in this market.”

当被问及EHS带给RoadOne娘家姓的ded, or missing, Kellaway said that EHS has a strong presence in the Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky markets that RoadOne was looking to expand upon.

“They also have a significant fleet in the market and strong maintenance capabilities, which we can leverage across multiple customers,” he said. [This deal] helps us build scale in the market and builds on our leadership team with Mike Lemere and his team staying to run the business. They also have proprietary TMS for scheduling solutions that we acquired and can use across our national platform.”

Ed Worley, President & Founder of EHS Trucking Enterprises, LLC, said in a statement that EHS is very excited to become part of the RoadOne organization.

“[We] know that we will now have a greater array of logistics, drayage and distribution resources to support our customers and drivers,” he said. “We have always been committed to a fully customer-centric approach and joining RoadOne further reinforces this.”
