At a press conference Tuesday,Seegrid(Booth N7120)displayed its Palion Lift AMR, which features various advancements to its perception technology.

It can be used with the company’s Palion Tow Tractor AMR to load and unload carts, a process that was previously labor intensive and slow. The AMRs’ interoperability allows users to not only enhance efficiency, but also increase operational productivity.

“Since customers’ demands are continuing to increase and the supply chain is becoming more and more complicated, customers need more integrated materials handling solutions than they previously had,” said David Griffin, chief sales officer at Seegrid. “Palion Lift AMR and Palion Tow Tractor AMR capabilities will help them respond to these issues effectively.”

Palion Lift AMRs can autonomously transport materials that weigh up to 3,500 pounds and retrieve and place palletized goods at heights of up to 6 feet, while Palion Tow Tractor AMRs can tug cart trains, along with other payloads, that weigh up to 10,000 pounds.

“Consequently, users will enhance their productivity long term, in order to exceed their customers’ demands,” Griffin added.

ProMat 2023 was held March 20-23 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The tradeshow showcases the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the materials handling and logistics industry.Modern’s complete coverage of the show.
