Kuebix partnership with SimpliShip may create new opportunities for shippers “going global”

In an interview with LM, Kuebix President Dan Clark says the relationship will help U.S. shippers penetrate the international marketplace with more ease.

Kuebix, creator of atransportation management systems (TMS)providing shipping intelligence, recently partnered with SimpliShip International Freight Rate API to manage all freight modes and providers on one cloud-based platform.

In an interview with LM, Kuebix PresidentDan Clarksays the relationship will help U.S. shippers penetrate the international marketplace with more ease.

“There’s been some anxiety about the risk involved in going global,” he says. “But thecloud-baseplatform we provide should address those concerns.”

With Kuebix TMS, logistics managers may be enabled to enhance rating, booking and managing of their LTL, TL, parcel, rail, ocean and air freight. For more complex supply chains, Kuebix can be configured with Premier Applications and Integrations designed to meet the needs of a larger enterprise.

According to analysts at Gartner, Kuebix is among the industry’s fastest growing TMS players in today’s marketplace.Bart De Muynck– a prominent analyst with the consultancy – recently wrote about the company in a TMS market study last spring.

Clark told LM that the new partnership will help Kuebix in its “consultative” role in the future…especially with perishable commodities.

“High value goods are growing in demand,” he says. “And shippers need much more guidance and advice when ramping up their services.”

This partnership with SimpliShip will connect Kuebix users to a large network of freight forwarders and NVOCCs for instant and spot market air and ocean freight pricing.

SimpliShip Chief Executive OfficerCory Margandcalled the integration the “first step in unlocking the true potential for APIs in international logistics. “The days of having to access multiple platforms to manage domestic and international shipments are over,” he adds.
